The Town of Bethany Council Members are thrilled to once again participate statewide decorating contest sponsored by the Indy 500 Committee. The Council and Residents are excited, and in addition to decorating the Town have planned festivities to celebrate the history of Indianapolis 500 on May 19th.

On Sat. April 7th, Artist, Ash J. Schubert, shared his creative work, which is part of Bethany’s celebration activities for the Indianapolis 500.

The Town of Bethany invite’s you to join their Indianapolis 500 celebrations that will take place in their park. The events will include activities for families, refreshments, and a grill will be available for cook outs.

The Greatest Spectacular in Racing, the Indianapolis 500 kick's off.
The Greatest Spectacular in Racing, the Indianapolis 500 starts off on Saturday, May 12, with gates open from 10AM – 6PM. During the opening Day for the 2012 Indianapolis 500 they will be showcasing the Celebration of Automobiles.
At 10am there will be a Q and A with Dallara DW12 Development Panel on the Coke Stage in the Plaza.
At 11:30am IMS will start the 2012 Pace Car Presentation
Then, at Noon until 6pm the racers take to the field for the 2012 Indianapolis 500 Practice sessions.
